About LovesSkin
Our Approach &
Clinical Evidence
Good aesthetics needs judgement as well as technology.
A considered approach
The aesthetics industry moves quickly. New treatments can become popular long before most clients have had the chance to understand what they actually do.
At LovesSkin, we take a more considered approach. We look at the concern, the treatment mechanism, available clinical evidence, practitioner experience, risks, recovery and realistic alternatives before deciding whether a treatment deserves a place in your plan.
We look at what it actually does. Not just what it claims to do.
Evidence before enthusiasm
Evidence Helps Us
Ask Better
Questions
Published research is useful. But the existence of a study does not automatically mean a treatment is suitable for every client. We want to know: What was actually studied? What improved? How large was the study? How long were results followed? What were the limitations? And does that evidence meaningfully apply to the concern in front of us?
Restraint is expertise
We Separate Mechanism
From Marketing
A treatment creating a collagen-related response does not automatically mean it creates a facelift. Improved hydration does not automatically mean lifting. A technology being usable across a range of skin tones does not mean risk is identical for every client. At LovesSkin, we try to keep the claim proportionate to what the treatment can reasonably support.

Informed over impressed
We Look at the Limits
as Well as
the Benefits
Understanding what a treatment cannot do is often just as useful. NeoGen cannot recreate significant missing facial volume. Morpheus8 cannot surgically reposition tissue. Lumecca is not appropriate for every pigmentation pattern. Skin boosters cannot correct structural acne scarring. Laser hair removal cannot reliably treat hair without enough useful pigment.
Those distinctions help prevent the wrong treatment being used for the right concern.
The practitioner decision
Practitioner Technique
Matters
Many advanced treatments can be adjusted by depth, energy, density, wavelength, number of passes or anatomical area. Two appointments using the same brand of device are therefore not necessarily identical treatments.
This is why we believe the practitioner decision is as important as the machine name.

We Do Not Pretend Every
Treatment Has the
Same Evidence Base
Some technologies have extensive research. Others are supported by smaller studies or a greater proportion of manufacturer-led evidence. Where the evidence is limited, we would rather explain that limitation than turn uncertainty into a marketing promise.
That is what evidence-led means to us.
Safety
Safety Is Part of
Good Treatment
A treatment is not appropriate simply because it could produce an improvement. We also consider: contraindications; skin type; anatomy; treatment intensity; recovery; potential adverse effects; and whether a safer or more proportionate alternative exists.

Results-driven
What Results-Driven
Means at LovesSkin
Results-driven does not mean promising perfection. It means: defining the concern; choosing a treatment for a clear reason; setting realistic expectations; and reviewing whether it produced a meaningful improvement. Treat with a reason. Review the result.

“I wanted a chemical peel and was advised to go slow with a less invasive facial first… professional sensible advice… suggesting what is best for me.”
