Focused concerns.
Precise treatment.

Some concerns do not need a full-face treatment or wider skin programme. They need a very specific solution. At LovesSkin, we determine the actual concern and whether cosmetic treatment is appropriate before proceeding.

Which treatment is right for my concern?

These concerns may look superficially similar but are biologically different. That is why LovesSkin does not treat them all with the same technology.

VascuLaze

Precision vascular laser for selected visible vessels.

Cherry Angioma Removal

Targeted treatment for small, benign red vascular spots.

Skin Tag & Milia Removal

Precise removal of selected benign surface concerns.

Electrolysis Hair Removal

Precision hair removal for individual hairs — including hairs laser cannot effectively target.

VascuLaze

Precision vascular laser for selected visible vessels.

VascuLaze is a focused 1064 nm vascular laser used to reduce the appearance of appropriately selected facial and leg vessels. The treatment directs laser energy towards blood within the vessel. Controlled heating affects the vascular target, after which the body gradually clears the treated structure. The result develops over time rather than the vessel simply being erased during the appointment.

Best suited to

Defined facial vesselsSelected spider veinsSelected reticular leg veinsDiscrete vascular targets

VascuLaze is a precision treatment, not a broad treatment for every type of redness. Lumecca IPL is better suited to broader areas of superficial redness; some clients may need both.

Cherry Angioma Removal

Targeted treatment for small, benign red vascular spots.

Cherry angiomas are common benign vascular lesions made up of small blood vessels. They typically appear as clearly defined red, cherry-red or purple spots and often become more noticeable with age. Their treatment is very different from treating ordinary brown pigmentation because the target is vascular rather than pigment-based.

Best suited to

Clearly defined red vascular spotsCherry-red or purple benign lesionsVisually noticeable angiomas

Not every red lesion is a cherry angioma. If something is changing, unusual or repeatedly bleeding, we may recommend medical assessment rather than removing it.

Skin Tag & Milia Removal

Precise removal of selected benign surface concerns.

Skin tags are small benign projections of skin, commonly developing in areas of friction. Milia are tiny superficial cysts containing keratin; they usually appear as small, firm, white or cream-coloured bumps, often around the cheeks or eye area. Professional treatment allows a persistent milium to be removed appropriately without repeated squeezing or trauma to the surrounding skin.

Best suited to

Confirmed benign skin tagsPersistent miliaSmall white or cream bumps around eye area

Not everything that looks like a skin tag or small white bump should automatically be removed. Assessment comes first, if the lesion does not have the expected appearance, we will advise the appropriate next step.

Electrolysis Hair Removal

Precision hair removal for individual hairs, including hairs laser cannot effectively target.

Electrolysis works on unwanted hair one follicle at a time. A fine probe is introduced into the natural opening of the follicle and electrical energy is used to damage the hair-producing structures. Unlike laser hair removal, electrolysis does not depend on pigment in the hair, making it particularly suited to white, grey, blonde, or isolated hairs that laser cannot effectively treat.

Best suited to

White hairsGrey hairsVery light hairsIsolated facial hairsResistant hairs remaining after laser

Electrolysis can permanently destroy a successfully treated individual hair follicle but this does not mean one appointment permanently clears an entire area. A series of appointments is generally required.

When we would not treat

Good cosmetic treatment includes knowing when not to proceed. We may recommend further assessment rather than treatment where:

  • — A lesion is changing or diagnostically uncertain
  • — A vascular lesion looks atypical
  • — There is unexplained bleeding
  • — Leg veins are large, painful or associated with swelling
  • — There are signs that an underlying vascular problem may be present
  • — The concern falls outside the appropriate scope of cosmetic treatment

A treatment should never begin with: “How can we remove this?” It should begin with: “What is it, and is cosmetic treatment appropriate?”

Start with assessment.

Identify first. Treat second. Book a consultation and we’ll establish what the concern actually is and whether cosmetic treatment is appropriate.
